Texas Surf Conservancy Hosts “Oysters Onward!” Event with Texas Legislators
Corpus Christi, TX — On Monday, October 6, the Texas Surf Conservancy will bring together Texas legislators, oyster farmers, scientists, and oyster aficionados to celebrate recent legislative wins on oyster mariculture and other coastal issues.
Billed as an appreciation event for those supporting the farmed oyster industry as an economic development engine in Texas, the evening will feature guest speakers and, of course, delicious farmed oysters on the half shell. Local oyster farms that will be sharing and shucking include: Big Tree Oyster Company, Blackjack Point Oyster Company, Key Allegro Oyster Company, Oyster Bros, and Texas Clear Water Oyster Gardens.
