June 27, 2025 – The Board of Directors of the Texas Surf Conservancy announces a partnership with Sutapants Productions to create a documentary film entitled “Rising Tide: The Future of Texas Oysters” about the burgeoning farmed oyster industry in Texas.

This exciting project will feature in-depth interviews with the scientists, oyster enthusiasts, and legislators who helped pave the way for oyster mariculture initiatives in Texas. Fundraising for the project will begin immediately, with “pitch party” events scheduled for Corpus Christi and Rockport in early September and future events in San Antonio, Austin, and Houston.
