Surftoberfest Returns to Downtown Corpus Christi for Its 11th Annual Celebration of Surf Culture, Craft Beer, and Oktoberfest Traditions

NEW THIS YEAR: “The Board Walk” will showcase Texas surfboard shapers in a one-of-a-kind installation along Chaparral Street

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — October 13, 2026 — Prost! Surftoberfest returns to Downtown Corpus Christi on Saturday, October 17, for its 11th annual celebration of surf culture, live music, craft beer, and Oktoberfest traditions. Hosted at Executive Surf Club and extending along Chaparral Street, this FREE family-friendly festival brings the community together for a full day of entertainment, German-inspired food and drinks, and coastal culture from 12 pm – 11:30 pm.

A beloved local tradition, Surftoberfest welcomes beer enthusiasts, music lovers, families, and festivalgoers to experience a unique blend of Texas surf culture and Bavarian festivities. Attendees can enjoy more than 20 seasonal beers, bratwurst, pork schnitzel sliders, stein-holding competitions, specialty vendors, and costume contests for both pets and people.

Families can also take advantage of the FREE Kids Zone presented by Steel Dynamics, featuring root beer steins, Bavarian hats, temporary tattoos, and fun for the youngest festivalgoers. Throughout the day and into the evening, 12 hours of live music will keep the celebration going with performances by Diamond’s Edge, The Chainlinks, Young Klassics, 18 Hours, Chicas Rock, Red Ravens, Crucial Riddims, Eric Graham, and Mikey Rivera Jr.

Introducing “The Board Walk”

New this year, Surftoberfest is proud to introduce The Board Walk, a special surfboard installation along Chaparral Street that will bring together the largest gathering of Texas surfboard shapers. Over 20 of the state’s most renowned shapers will be on-site showcasing their most impressive and distinctive surfboard creations, celebrating the craftsmanship, creativity, and community that define Texas surf culture. Royboy Tiki Hut returns to the event and will be shaping a surfboard LIVE!

Beyond the festivities, Surftoberfest supports a meaningful cause, with proceeds benefiting the Texas Surf Conservancy and its commitment to protecting our coastal environment and marine habitats that make the Texas Gulf Coast a special place to live or visit.

Whether you’re raising a stein, rocking out to your favorite local bands, showing off your lederhosen, or checking out the craftsmanship behind Texas-made surfboards, Surftoberfest offers something for everyone.

Grab your friends, bring the family, dress up your four-legged friends, and join us for an unforgettable day full of the Oktoberfest spirit in downtown Corpus Christi.
